Step 1

Start by completing our franchise inquiry form.

  • Ensure you have submitted your Additional Information Form after completing the initial contact form (complete both steps of the process)
  • This helps us understand your background, markets of interest, and timeline
  • Using this basic information will help us determine if there’s a potential fit.
Step 2: Introductory Call

If we determine there seems to be a good fit, a member of our franchise development team will schedule an introductory call to:

  • Answer high-level questions
  • Review your experience and goals
  • Walk through the opportunity at a high level

This call ensures mutual interest before moving forward.

Step 3: Franchise Overview & Qualification

If there’s alignment, we’ll request additional information from and schedule a call to provide a deeper overview of:

  • The Melt brand and concept
  • The franchise model and expectations
  • Operator profile and growth philosophy

At this stage, we’ll also review financial qualifications and market availability.

Step 4: Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)

Qualified candidates will receive the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which includes:

  • Detailed investment information
  • Franchise fees and ongoing costs
  • Franchisee and franchisor obligations
  • Sign an acknowledgement that you have been disclosed with the FDD

You’ll have time to review the FDD and ask questions.

Step 5: Attend a Discovery Day

Discovery Day allows both sides to confirm fit and includes:

  • Tour some restaurants
  • See the kitchen in action and how they system works
  • Meet key members of the leadership team
  • Dive deeper into operational systems and franchise support
  • Review the standards that define The Melt brand

This process ensures alignment before moving forward.

Step 6: Franchise Approval

Following the Discovery Day, approved candidates will receive a final confirmation to move forward

  • We will discuss specifics around a Development Territory that will then become part of a Development Agreement
  • When the development territory and schedule are agreed we will prepare documents
Step 7: Become a Developer and Franchisee

After you have been approved and all the Development Territory has been negotiated you will complete documents and we will start working on identifying your first Melt restaurant location

  • Sign the Development Agreement and Franchise Agreement for first restaurant
  • You are now a franchisee!
